Written over 40 years ago, this book addresses many subjects that have not improved for animals or their owners.  The author tackles the food subject very well.

While there has been improvement through some more strict regulations.  However, much of the same shortcomings still exist industry wide.

This is a nuts and bolts text discussing digestion, absorption, and metabolism.  Straight forward, as nutrition itself is straight forward.  Appropriate nutrition for

pets and or humans is not the mystery we have been lead to believe.
